Saint Bread + molly moon’s collab!

happening this Saturday, Aug. 13th

This Saturday, August 13th, for one afternoon only and starting at 2pm until they run out, Saint Bread is serving up one of the most out of this world treats of the summer- melon pan* ice cream sandwiches!

They’ll have two options on hand:

Triple Black Sesame Melon Pan- melon pan topped with a black sesame cookie and filled with our double black sesame ice cream and topped with more salted sesame seeds!

Strawberry Matcha Melon Pan- melon pan topped with a sugar dusted matcha cookie and filled with our classic strawberry ice cream and rolled in a spicy magic dust of freeze dried strawberries, sprinkles, and a mix of sugar, salt and pink, black, and szechuan peppercorns!

*Melon pan, one of the most ubiquitous baked goods in Japan, is a light brioche bun with a cookie baked on top! Saint Bread puts a twist on their melon pan by adding a touch of cardamom in the dough. It’s a childhood favorite of Saint Bread’s co-owner, Yasuaki Saito, and an everyday favorite for those lucky enough to try Saint Bread’s version!

ABOUT SAINT BREAD:

Saint Bread is a bakery and community space on the Portage Bay waterfront near the University of Washington. The name “Saint Bread” comes from the Danish words for true bread--sandt brod--and this playful interpretation nods to Plane Bread, and the belief in tending to something is a sacred act.

Before it was a bakery, 1421 Boat Street, the location of the bakery, was owned by the Jensen family of boatbuilders, and housed the Jensen Motor Boat Company. With a wink and a nod of thanks, the folks at Saint Bread hope to honor their legacy, with the Jensen Marina Project, and as stewards of the great space they so carefully built with care by hand.

Saint Bread operates with intentional and unwavering commitment to doing what is best for their company and their community. Click here to read their full mission statement.
