June Seasonals!

molly moon’s is excited to celebrate Pride all month. 10% of proceeds from our June seasonal flavors, the Pride Cone (all of our seasonal flavors stacked on top of one another in a fresh waffle cone!), and 100% of proceeds from our Pride merchandise will be donated to Gen Pride, Lavender Rights Project, and Seattle’s LGBTQ+ Center (formerly Gay City). We encourage you to learn more about these incredible organizations and consider making a donation of your own.

One of the most iconic fruits in Washington during the summer months are the beautiful amethyst blackberries that grow in abundance just about everywhere! We wanted to showcase the yummy organic blackberries from Stahlbush Farms and Hayton Farms in a simple, yet perfect, blackberry ice cream. Our chefs take the fresh berries and cook them down into a thick jam, concentrating their floral and fruity flavor. We mix the jam into the base to give it a vibrant purple color, and then swirl in big ribbons of jam throughout the ice cream. This flavor is so delicious we’ll be serving it at all of our scoop shops (including the Madrona walk-up window) and Seattle’s favorite cookie shops, Hello Robin, will be serving it at their locations in the University Village and on 19th Ave in Capitol Hill as well!

As the weather warms, a refreshing scoop of sorbet can really hit the spot! Our citrus sorbet combines the bright plucky juices from Californian oranges and lemons for an ultra smooth, not too sweet, dairy-free cold treat. If you’re looking to keep this flavor dairy-free but you’re wanting to add a little more richness- we suggest adding a big dollop of our vegan coconut whip on top! If dairy isn’t a concern, this flavor pairs beautifully with our sweet cream ice cream making the combination the perfect citrus creamsicle. This sorbet will be available at all Molly Moon’s locations (except for the Madrona walk-up window) as well as both Hello Robin locations.

Our matcha strawberry ice cream isn’t just beautiful to look at with its gorgeous soft green color and perfectly pink swirls- it’s also a perfect combination of flavors. We partnered with Redmond, WA’s Sugimoto Tea, a 3rd generation tea farm growing and processing tea in the foothills of Mt. Fuji, Japan. Their high quality matcha powder is ethically produced and provides an earthy herbaceous flavor to our rich ice cream base made from local hormone-free cream and milk. To balance the sweet and bitter notes of the matcha, our chefs make a simple strawberry jam that brings the perfect amount of acidity to this luscious ice cream.

In addition to our dairy-free sorbet, we’ll continue to serve our seasonal vegan flavor: chocolate covered strawberry!
