a special partnership with union coffee

today a new always flavor joins our menu!

our new union coffee flavor is made in partnership with union coffee, a small local business in seattle's central district. we partnered with union to develop their first original bean blend, the good together blend, specifically for our ice cream! it's roasted just for us by local olympia coffee roasters.

we know the owner of union coffee very well - he's our founder molly's husband! they worked closely together to develop a blend that would perfectly complement our cream and milk to make the most delicious coffee scoop ever!

our union coffee flavor is unlike any coffee flavor we've made before, and it's made differently than most other coffee ice creams. rather than infuse milk and cream with ground coffee beans, we use the beans to make a highly concentrated cold brew that we mix into our milk, cream and sugar.

in other words, our head chef actually figured out how to make the ice cream base out of cold brew! the process results in a beautifully smooth texture and deep caramel coffee flavor. it's the best coffee ice cream we've ever had!

also joining our menu for a special four week run - our union cold brew float! it's made with union coffee cold brew that we brew fresh in our shops, with a scoop of our union coffee ice cream and topped with soda water and homemade chocolate sprinkles!

to celebrate this partnership and new flavor launch, we're hosting three pop-ups over the next week! we'll be hanging out with union coffee and creating special 'moonshot in the dark affogatos' made with a scoop of our union coffee ice cream and a shot of good together blend espresso, garnished with homemade chocolate sprinkles!
