Optimism Fudge Porter is back in all of our scoop shops and this dark rich ice cream is making us feel a little more cheery, maybe even a little optimistic! We’ve partnered with Optimism Brewing to use their, …Before the Dawn, a bold and full-bodied ale with notes of espresso and chocolate. The beer is cooked down into a thick syrup before being added to our local hormone-free milk and cream. Big generous swirls of our deep dark fudge are then folded into this freshly churned ice cream. It’s a molly moon’s all-time favorite! Try a scoop of this malty ice cream in a crispy waffle cone topped with more hot fudge! This delectable flavor will be available at all molly moon’s scoop shops including our Madrona walk-up window as well as both Hello Robin locations.
Did you know that all molly moon’s scoop shops are peanut-free zones? They are! We wanted our shops to be multi-generational gathering places where everyone can enjoy a tasty ice cream treat! So it’s up to our chefs and ice cream makers to come up with creative alternatives to scratch that nutty itch! Sunbutter Cup ice cream is our answer to the infinitely craveable peanut butter cup. We combine sunflower seed butter and Theo Chocolate to create sunbutter cups. The cups are broken into perfect little morsels and folded into our delicious sweet cream ice cream that’s been lightly salted to bring out the nutty notes of the sunflower butter. This flavor will be available at all of our shops except the little Madrona walk-up window. *This flavor is gluten-free! It’s tea time! There’s maybe only one thing quite as delightful as having a freshly brewed afternoon cup of tea- and that is our Tea & Honey ice cream. To make this ultra-smooth ice cream, we cold steep a beautifully fragrant earl grey tea overnight to draw out flavor from the intense black tea leaves and citrusy bergamot notes, then combine it with local honey from Robbins Honey Farm in Tacoma, WA for the perfect amount of sweetness. The citrusy notes of the tea and the floral notes of the honey in this rich ice cream, make for a perfect vehicle to our tangy homemade lemon curd. This flavor will be available at all of our shops except the little Madrona walk-up window. *This flavor is gluten-free! During July and August of 2021 we preserved over 4,000 pounds of organic Viva Farms strawberries so that we can have a taste of summer all throughout the year. Our chefs are turning those perfect berries into a gorgeous Vegan Chocolate Covered Strawberry ice cream. Many pounds of these organic ruby-colored strawberries go into each tub of this vegan ice cream and are spiked with ribbons of vegan chocolate hard shell for a delightfully snappy texture. Since 2009, Viva Farms has educated over 900 small farmers (150+ Spanish speakers) in sustainable organic farming, contributing to and preserving sustainable farming, and a strong and just local food system. We are incredibly proud to partner with such an awesome non-profit farm incubator to get flavorful and thoughtfully grown local strawberries.
